The Ramor Theatre is a local theatre which is located in the centre of Virginia town. Virginia is approximately 20 minutes away from Cavan Crystal Hotel on the main Dublin to Cavan road.
The building which now houses Ramor Theatre was built in 1845 as a Catholic Church. In the 1980’s as the population increased in the area, the church became too small to cater for the community and the last mass was celebrated in it on the 7th October 1989.
In 1994 the Church was bought by Cavan County Council and was converted into the Luxurious Theatre it is today. Apart from running a full programme of events the theatre is also home to Livin’ Dred Theatre Company and a member of the NOMAD network of venues.
